Hey Everybody,
We are back in Italy after a lightening trip to Cardiff to watch the All Blacks get pipped by the French in the Rugby World Cup. How gutted were we and all the NZers in Cardiff - there was a state of disbelief when the final whistle went. The lady next to me sat staring into space for about 5 minutes. I gave her a hug because she looked so miserable.
The french are really good at crowd support. I reckon NZ needs a rugby match song that stirs up the All blacks - any ideas?
We've spent about 5 days staying in a hilltop village called Casperia with our friends Joe and Miranda, their two girls Chiara (almost 3 yrs) and Isabel (9 mths), Anna, Jack, Jeff, Danielle and Richie. Casperia is about 40 mins north of Rome. Its a classic old village with cobbled winding pathways between tall, stone buildings, that are crammed together atop a steep hill. Its a great place for biking and visiting places like Assisi and just plain old relaxing, eating lots of pasta and drinking red wine and limoncello (thick, syrupy yellow, cheap liqueur).
We are now back in Rome for 2 days - doing the touristy things like Sistine Chapel. Then we head to Napoli and Pompeii and then back to Spain for some climbing near Toledo and wwooffing on an organic farm in the North of Spain.

hey Guys :) good to hear from you again! sad to here that you were actually at the All Blacks game! it was hard enough watching it from home let alone being there!!!!!!!! boo hoo
sounds like a beautiful place that you have been staying! very nice!
