In Transit

After cutting loose with the jigsaw on the ceiling, multiple trips to Halfords, B&Q and the auto electrician down the road, plus late nights painting and 'debating' the finer points of van design (!) we now have a road machine that's ready to go. It comes complete with sky-light, insulated walls and ceiling, leisure battery, stereo, bike rack, inverter for AC power, cooker and awning! Hopefully the gearbox will run smoothly and the floor won't rust out again..

Katie is a primo painter, and won't let me do the last few coats for some reason..

Finished at last!

We took Jill and Neil (my bosses) out for a meal on the beach the first night we'd finished. The awning blew over the roof in the strong sea breeze!

Jill and Neil hosted a bonfire party as we left North Wales, which was great fun - Nina (below) is auditioning for the circus?

Then we dumped the old blue van (at last!) and got 90pds for it at the scrap yard - not a bad deal we thought..

So now we've headed south to Pembrokeshire for a weeks locum work for Jamie, and a weeks organising things for Katie. This weekend we meet Kate's parents and sister Tammi at Heathrow and head to France on the ferry - heading to Spain and Italy (+?) for a couple of months at least! The Clulows will be travelling with us for 8 days (Tammi) abd 2-3 wks (Peter and Rosie). We are very excited after planning this trip for what seems like years now!
