Bogota Free Stopover
Now, Bogota used to be the 'kidnapping capital of the world', but now it's not (that's Bagdhad) so we had loads of fun. A Facebook status update in Madrid meant that 16 hours later we were touring around the old part of town with the brother of a friend in Vancouver. (follow that if you can..¨)
Bogota is a frantic sort of place and reminded me a bit of China at first. The traffic is madness and public transport frenetic but vague, but thanks to Kiwi Ken we had the mini-bus system sorted, much to the amusement of the Argentines also stuck in the hotel with us ('We don't have these sort of buses in Argentina..').
We visited the Botero gallery (he draws the fat people..)
Katie loooved the beans on offer in the eateries, and I liked looking at the graffiti/art on the walls.
