Slate Quarries

This guy was up in the quarry slacklining. He tight-roped across the gap on a tensioned piece of tape, and showed off at the end by kneeling on the line. I will try to put the video of him falling off on too..

Jamie on a HVS route called 'Seamstress'.

The Dinorwic Slate quarry was one of the two largest slate quarries in the world (both in North Wales) and was closed in 1969. Climbers started exploring the area in the 1980's and have put up a lot of scary routes (plus some easy ones), some with bolts. The walls still fall down occasionally. It's an atmospheric place with massive excavations, rock walls, mountains of slate 2nds and old buildings.
