Words we have learnt in Thai:

Ao = Beach
Ko = Island
Sawatdee ka = Hello (fem) Goodbye (fem)
Korp kun ka = Thank you (fem)

sahm = three

We have spent our last five days back in Ton Sai (which means tower in Thai) trying to squeeze in as many climbing days as possible before heading to China. Jamie managed to climb his 'project' yesterday called 'Missing Snow'. I think they should rename it falling snow because you have to chalk up on it so much that the belayer gets a facefull of chalk. One time Jamie fell and I ended up swinging 6 feet off the ground, which was heaps of fun.

It has rained and rained and rained for the last three days so we ate and we ate and we drank coffee and played cards and ate some more. I actually like it when it rains...because the bullfrogs come out and start their infernal racket and the glow worms and fireflies can be found as well at dark.

Some delicious thai dishes:

Tom kung soup - spicy with lemongrass, chillies, lime, coriander, prawns, big slabs of some funny looking ginger.

Pad Thai - noodles, mung beans, light soy sauce, veges, scrambled egg.

Pineapple fried rice - egg, rice, pineapple, chicken, yum.
